Not to be confused with

  • The Swedish word sambo – a partner you live with without being married. The app is made for couples who live together, married or not.
  • The Swedish Cohabitees Act (sambolagen). The app gives no legal advice.
  • Sambo, the martial art that originated in the Soviet Union.
  • A bank or payment service. Sambo never moves money.

What the app does

  • Shared finances: costs and expenses split equally, by percentage, by income or with exact amounts. Each month Sambo shows how things even out between you.
  • Snap the receipt: the lines are read right on your phone and split line by line – shared, yours, your partner's or left out.
  • Fixed costs such as housing, energy, insurance and subscriptions, in one place and split your way.
  • Shopping lists that update instantly for both of you.
  • A shared calendar, which can also connect to a shared calendar you already have on your iPhone.
  • Documents: take photos of insurance policies, contracts, warranties and receipts. The pages become a PDF and the text becomes searchable, read right on your phone.
  • Our home: rooms, measurements, colours and products.
  • Savings goals with a forecast: when you'll reach the goal and how much is needed each month.
  • Holidays and birthdays: reminders before the big days of the year and a secret gift list before your partner's birthday.
  • Also: children and pets, things to do at home, private items only you can see, a widget and Siri. It's easy to switch to Sambo from other apps.
  • Privacy: everything is stored in your own iCloud. We cannot see your data and never sell it. No ads and no tracking.

How you connect

One of you creates your home in the app and invites the other through iCloud. A home is for two people. Everything you share syncs between your phones through your own Apple accounts.
